They are an inclusive masters Swimming and Open Water team, founded in November 2014. The team currently has 100 athletes and has stood out consecutively in all championships, always ranking among the ten best national teams.

The team continues to grow and promote equity and inclusion for athletes of all sexual orientations, ethnic backgrounds, religions, genders, performance levels and financial capabilities.

  • Training location

    Jamor Swimming Pool Complex

    Training takes place in a 50m long, 2m deep pool and a 25m long, 1.25m deep pool.

    Monday and Friday

    9pm to 10pm (AMA and COM)

    Tuesday and Thursday

    9pm to 10pm (INI, MAN AND COM)

    Wednesday

    8:30pm to 10pm (COM)

    Saturday

    2:00 PM to 3:30 PM (INI, MAN AND COM)

History

The Lisbon Poolboys Swim Team was created in November 2014 by the will and commitment of a group of swimmers united by their shared passion for swimming.

The Lisbon Poolboys Swim Team joined the BJWHF Sports Club (currently known as the All Together 4 Sports Association ) on April 1, 2015, with the aim of diversifying the sports offering in this association following the same inclusive principle as other sports.

At the start of the 2019/2020 sports season, the team changed its name from Lisboa Poolboys & Girls to Lisboa Poolsharks.

Results

The competition team, among the 10 best national teams, has achieved excellent results, namely several national and international titles, holding 2 national records in relays. The team enjoys enormous recognition and reputation nationally and internationally, being well received and cherished by all clubs, associations and federations.
